About our Firm


History

King, Moore, Truelove & Pharis, CPAs has been in business in Vernon, Texas since 1948. The firm was originally established by Garland Johnston, who was joined by James B. King. Since that time, three additional principals have been added and remain to this date while both of the founding principals have since retired. Current principals of King, Moore, Truelove & Pharis, CPAs are: Michael C. Moore, 1979, John T. Truelove, 1979, and Douglas A. Pharis, 1986. Presently there are five full time Certified Public Accountants in the firm, four staff accountants and two administrative personnel. The firm is operated as a partnership.

Peer Review

Since 1986, King, Moore, Truelove & Pharis, CPAs has satisfactorily completed multiple peer reviews. Peer reviews are required by the Private Companies Practice Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Professional Development

The Certified Public Accountants associated with King, Moore, Truelove & Pharis, CPAs complete 40-60 hours of professional development training every year. The training is usually sponsored by one of the professional associations of which King, Moore, Truelove & Pharis, CPAs is a member. Training is available in the fields of Tax, Auditing, Financial Planning, Estate Planning, etc. King, Moore, Truelove & Pharis, CPAs strives to stay abreast of current laws and seeks out the best courses available for staff training in the field of accounting. King, Moore, Truelove & Pharis, CPAs is committed to providing the best informed and best trained accountants to serve clients' needs.
